There’s not much to say about
Kutters, it’s serving classic American bar food in a great setting overlooking the beautiful Mississippi River.
It was such a lovely day (and probably one of the summer’s last) that we decided to eat outside. I ordered the Kutter’s cheeseburger with pepperjack, all the fixings, and fries. The beef was seasoned well, as were the fries. The bun was buttery and soft, the onions were thick and crisp, and the meat was cooked as rare as the restaurant would allow it, which was a measly medium well, although the burger was still moist and delicious. I guess there is a law that prohibits ground round to be cooked any less than medium well, as says our waitress. This meal really hits that burger craving right on the head, and is a lot better than the few other burgers I’ve had around town.
The fries were something special too. Thickly cut, the bigger ones were still bendable, and the smaller ones crisp and oily (best of both worlds), and seasoned liberally with big pieces of cracked pepper and salt.
The price was right at a little over 10 bucks a meal including drinks and tip.
